The Tudor Prince Oysterdate Ref. 7996 is a classic mid-1960s vintage Tudor that combines Rolex-manufactured Oyster case construction with Tudor's reliable Swiss automatic movement. Produced primarily between 1965 and 1968, the Ref. 7996 features a 34mm stainless steel Oyster case, acrylic crystal with Cyclops date magnifier, and the iconic Tudor rose logo found on many watches of the era. 

Powered by the automatic ETA-based Calibre 2462, the watch offers 25 jewels, a date complication, and a robust, easy-to-service design that helped establish Tudor's reputation for practical everyday luxury. Many examples retain Rolex-signed components, including the Oyster case, screw-down crown, caseback, and bracelet, reflecting the close historical relationship between Tudor and Rolex.

This example comes with an expandable Rolex Oyster "stretch" bracelet. 

These expandable bracelets were designed for comfort, allowing the bracelet to expand slightly with wrist movement and temperature changes while retaining the classic Oyster appearance. Vintage stretch bracelets are desirable today, especially when original to the watch and showing minimal stretch wear.

Condition

In overall very nice condition. Some minor scratches on the case and crystal. Dial is very clean. Bracelet is in excellent shape for being 60 years old.

Recently serviced and running beautifully.
