Omega Seamaster 2576-3C Linen Dial Automatic Watch
The Omega Seamaster 2576-3C is a highly collectible early Seamaster from Omega’s first generation of automatic “bumper” watches. Produced in the early 1950s, the reference 2576-3C combines classic mid-century styling with Omega’s renowned Caliber 342 automatic movement.
Key features:
Stainless steel 34mm screw-back case.
Distinctive textured “linen” dial.
Small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock.
Automatic Omega Caliber 342 bumper movement.
Acrylic crystal.
Slim vintage dress-watch proportions with elegant tapered lugs.
The Caliber 342 was one of Omega’s pioneering automatic movements, featuring a semi-rotor “bumper” winding system that gently oscillates against springs rather than rotating fully like modern automatics. These movements are admired for their durability, smooth finishing, and historical significance.
The 2576 series was produced from approximately 1948–1955, with the 2576-3C variant commonly dating to around 1952.
Condition
This example is in excellent vintage condition. Beautiful dial, with some minor scratches on the case. Acrylic crystal is also quite clean. Just came back from a watch maker, who gave it a full service. Running beautifully.
