1957 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Watch Ref. 6532
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Ref. 6532 is a classic example of Rolex’s understated sports watches of the 1950s, combining the brand’s waterproof Oyster case with its self-winding Perpetual movement.
Produced during the mid-1950s, the Ref. 6532 features the clean proportions and restrained styling that define early post-war Rolex design. Its compact Oyster case, smooth bezel, and traditional dial layout give the watch an elegant presence while retaining the durability for which the Oyster line became known.
At its heart is a Rolex automatic movement, powered by the brand’s Perpetual rotor system. By this period, Rolex had spent decades refining the combination of automatic winding and the screw-down Oyster case—two technologies that became central to the company’s reputation for reliable everyday wristwatches.
The Ref. 6532 is particularly appealing to collectors for its place in Rolex’s transitional 1950s production. Watches from this era predate many of the standardized designs that would define the Oyster Perpetual range in subsequent decades, giving these early references a distinctive vintage character.
A refined and increasingly difficult-to-find vintage Rolex, the Oyster Perpetual Ref. 6532 offers an excellent combination of historical significance, classic proportions, and unmistakable mid-century Rolex styling.
This is an honest example in great vintage condition, with some general wear showing on the case - see photos.
Comes with a handmade leather strap that accents the watch as a whole nicely.
